Hainan's Pan Ocean container transport capacity leaps to the third place in China

　　On July 6,the reporter learned from the Management Committee of Yangpu Economic Development Zone that,according to the latest ranking of the world's 100 liner companies,the container capacity of Hainan Pan Ocean Shipping Co.,Ltd.,a leading port and shipping logistics enterprise in the region,has leapt to the third place in China,only after COSCO and COSCO's two"Chinese brand"shipping groups,and its ranking in the world has also been raised to 27th.

　　On April 8,2008,when General Secretary Hu Jintao inspected Yangpu,he made an important instruction:to take Yangpu Economic Development Zone as the leader,and strive to build a shipping hub,logistics center and export processing base facing Southeast Asia.According to the instructions,the provincial Party committee and the provincial government established the development orientation of"one port,three bases"in Yangpu,and in 2009,Hainan Pan Ocean Shipping Co.,Ltd.was established under the leadership of Yangpu Economic Development Zone.

　　At the beginning of the company's establishment,in the face of the international financial crisis,Hainan Pan Ocean Shipping went against the trend,purchased 5 ships at the reserve price,and rapidly expanded the fleet scale by taking advantage of its own ships.At present,Pan Ocean Shipping owns and controls 24 container ships.According to the person in charge of Pan Ocean Shipping Co.,Ltd.,at that time,the purchase price of the ship was about 5.5 million US dollars per ship.At present,the price has risen to 25 million US dollars per ship,which greatly saves capital and reduces the operating costs of shipping companies.

　　During the establishment of the fleet,Hainan Pan Ocean shipping actively opened routes.In just two years,it opened 17 domestic and foreign trade trunk and branch routes,forming a route structure of direct domestic trade to North China,East China,South China and Beibu Gulf,and connecting foreign trade to the whole world.

　　At present,Hainan Pan Ocean Shipping has nearly 600 employees.It has 19 branches and subsidiaries in Tianjin,Beijing,Dalian,Shanghai,Guangzhou and Hong Kong,and 12 branches in the United States,South Korea,Singapore,Vietnam,Australia and other countries and regions,realizing the leap from regional carrier to global carrier.

　　Hainan Pan Ocean Shipping also makes full use of the location advantages of Yangpu,concentrates the goods to Yangpu through various branch lines,and then transports the goods to all parts of the world through long-distance international routes,so as to improve the operation efficiency by"exchanging small boats for large ships".Hainan Pan Ocean shipping takes Yangpu as the freight base,which makes a large number of goods gather,and also drives other shipping companies to open routes to Yangpu.At present,there are 16 domestic and foreign trade routes in Yangpu.
